À propos de ce programme

The Pre-Bar Course is a transitional academic programme for eligible LLB graduates seeking to satisfy the required theoretical law subjects before progressing to Law Practice Training under the new legal education framework. Duration: one academic year (two semesters). Three credit hours per course; all courses taken are examinable. Approved sessions: Regular, Evening and Weekend. Core courses include Company Law and Practice, Commercial Law, Family Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution, and Interpretation of Deeds and Statutes. Electives may include Probate and Administration of Estates; Health Law and Clinical Negligence; Gender, Women and Children's Law; Corporate Governance, Banking, Finance and Securities Law; and Comparative Law.

Conditions d'admission

Applicants must hold an LLB or an equivalent law qualification and must select the route that matches where the qualification was completed. MountCrest University College LLB graduates are not asked to upload MountCrest admission letters, MountCrest transcripts, or MountCrest certificates because those records are already held by the University College. Admissions may still request an update if a record cannot be matched. Graduates from other Ghanaian law faculties must have completed the LLB at an institution accredited by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC). They must submit their certificate or completion attestation, official transcript, and any required supporting evidence. Applicants from other common law jurisdictions must submit their certificate or completion attestation, official transcript, institutional recognition evidence, and course descriptions or syllabi for academic review. They must also complete the course coverage checklist so the Faculty can identify Ghana legal education subjects that may require top-up study. Where one or more required subjects have not been undertaken, the applicant may be required to complete the relevant top-up course(s) before qualifying for admission. The top-up is a qualifying requirement; it does not replace the Pre-Bar Course. An attestation is not a replacement for the certificate. It may only be submitted where the applicant has completed the qualification and is awaiting graduation or issuance of the certificate; the certificate must be submitted before completion of the Pre-Bar Course. Session allocation (Regular, Evening, Weekend) is not automatic and is subject to enrolment numbers, timetable arrangements, and available capacity. Completion and submission of the application form does not automatically guarantee admission.
